1. Shoulda test macro for acts_as_state_machine: Samiron Paul shares his code to test your acts_as_state_machine codes using shoulda. A useful method indeed when you are using acts_as_state_machine!

1. Memoization and id2ref: Evan Phoenix writes about the good thing about memoization to save expensive operations. However, the discusses that _id2ref is not the best method to memoize as it may end up in GC related odds.
2. From TextMate to VIM for Rails Coders: If you are missing the TextMate from your past Mac or thinking about buying TextMate, read this post and see if you actually need it or you can simply use VIM on your linux machine. I believe the keyboard guru people will like this post to see their VIM win :-)
3. Delorean: Fool your Time.now and make it return your favorite time instead. Very helpful for mocking Time.now to test methods that depend on Time.now!
4. Notes on MongoDB: I have been reading about MongoDB here and there for the last few days. Initially I found it to be interesting that its not another SQL like paradigm. However, if you are also waiting to learn something more, this post from Mathias has it in detail. Give it a read.
